Building on its 150-year public service mission, UC San Francisco announced its intention to leverage more of its economic power and collaborative partnerships to improve the long-term health and welfare of communities in its own hometown.

SBS is thrilled to announce that Stella Aguinaga Bialous will be joining our ladder-rank faculty and teaching in health policy. Stella is a native of Brazil and has been working internationally on cancer and tobacco control policy for several years. She has been involved with the WHO and the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control, the only United Nations’ treaty on a public health topic, since its planning stages and continues to provide policy advice to a range of countries and professional organizations.
