Erin McCauley, Assistant Professor of Sociology in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences, received a K01 award from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Injury Prevention and Control for a project evaluating a school-based intervention aimed at reducing the risk of human trafficking and youth violence.

Stephanie Arteaga, 2022 cohort, recently received a $3,000 Chime Scholars Foundation Scholarship, awarded in partnership with the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU). This scholarship opportunity is awarded to undergraduate and graduate students of all majors who are enrolled full-time or part-time at a two-year or four-year HACU-member institution. In addition to the scholarship, recipients are also funded o attend the ¡Adelante! Leadership Institute at HACU’s Annual Conference, taking place in Chicago this year.
