PhD Sociology Student Keri Spiller Joins GEPA

Congratulations to PhD Sociology current student Keri Spiller, who recently joined the UCSF Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Affairs (GEPA). Read the Jan. 26 announcement below:

Dear Team:

I am thrilled to announce that Keridwyn (Keri) Spiller has joined our GEPA team as of early January as a GEPA administrative fellow/intern. Keri is currently a 2027 UCSF PhD candidate in the Sociology Program after completing her bachelor’s in sociology and women’s and gender studies, summa cum laude in 2019 at Texas A&M University, College Station.

Keri has co-authored several publications and is passionate about women’s health experiences and advancing new standards in reproductive health. She is the daughter of two physicians and is interested in reshaping patient experiences for women.

In a previous work-study role, Keri has supported Basic Sciences RCR for postdocs and the Canvas RCR implementation. She also developed reports and student research analysis.

In her new role, Keri assumes a broader scope with RCR for postdocs and graduate students, and manages the OCPD internal postdoc job board. She makes an invaluable contribution to the GEPA team by assisting with overall RCR registration, course delivery, and process streamlining. She also supports RCR compliance reporting.

Keri's hobbies are video gaming, crafting, and she serves as a key volunteer member of the Burning Man organizing team.

Please welcome her!
