The Innovative and Critical Perspectives in the Social Sciences (ICPSS) Colloquium returns October 2026. Through five virtual speaker events during the 2026-27 academic year, the ICPSS will expose students and faculty to cutting-edge research in the social sciences.
The first event of this academic year is Oct. 23, 10-11 a.m., with Elizabeth Adetiba, PhD, a sociologist and assistant professor at the University of Rochester. Her work investigates how historical constructions of Blackness shape scientific thinking across a range of social domains. Register for the event.
The ICPSS is hosted by the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences and the Emancipatory Sciences Lab.
