Padilla Awarded NIH Diversity Supplement

Esperanza Padilla was awarded an NIH Diversity Supplement from the National Institute of Aging. This award will provide Esperanza with mentored research opportunities to advance the Shift Project’s investigation into precarious dimensions of job quality in the service sector. This project will help fill in the gap in knowledge about how unpredictable scheduling practices, automation, and technology impact worker health and healthy aging. Esperanza's primary mentor is Kristen Harknett, a professor in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences.
